Ninety Years At The Isles of Shoals by Oscar Laighton – Autographed – Star Island
“Being the only one left of the Laighton family at the Isles of Shoals, I have been urged by the many visitors here every summer to write what I can remember of my life, covering ninety years on these Islands.”
Thus Oscar Laighton (1839-1939) wrote this scarce classic memoir about his long life at the Isles of Shoals on Appledore Island and on Star Island where he was known affectionately to Shoalers as “Uncle Oscar”.
Green cloth boards with bright gold stamped spine/cover lettering. Two dog ears. Tight except for the small area shown. Small area indicating contact with moisture on the back.
