During the mid 20th century, the Blenko Glass Company (WV) did some colorful spiral glass vases and other usable pieces.
We believe that this unique piece is an “end of day” whimsy piece done by a creative glass blower. It is a closed globe on a stem.
Beautiful and only your imagination with limit its uses. It can be decorative in a window reflecting the sunlight or as a center piece flanked by candles.
This large glass ball has a hint of opalescence and has a spiral swirled applied stripe of Amethyst Glass to the exterior surface of the globe. The pedestal / stem is clear glass. The piece is not marked.
It measures 12″ tall to the top of the ball and has a 7.75″ diameter. The ball DOES NOT have an opening in the top.
