This c. 1870, original finish, tin candle has an unusual adjustable socket where the petal around the socket slides up and down to adjust the diameter 0f the socket to fit various diameter candles.
Around the petal section is; K.K. OESTER PATENT D.R. PATENT NO. 10389. There is also a mark of an eagle with raised wings & above the eagle is a star and below the eagle is a cross.
It measures 5 3/4″ to end of handle. The base is 4 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ and it is 2 1/8″ high.
It is in fine, all original, authentic, age appropriate condition with a nice surface.
