Brass – Wall Mounted Match Holder – Marked L.&C. N.Y. – Antique Hand Crafted

This brass match holder is in phenomenal condition.

Seldom do you see one, surviving over 100 years, in this shape.

A must have for the early lighting collector and would work nicely in a period General Store.

The strike paper (sand) is easily added.  We would suggest you cut a strip off a match box for modern kitchen matches. They are no longer strike anywhere matches (unfortunately!!!)

This measures 4″ tall and the base is 3.25″ x 3.5″.  It is Marked L.&C. N.Y. as shown and also has engraved insurance/inventory numbers.

Please note: The bottom compartment goes all the way back and holds an ample supply of matches. It is not automatically fed from the larger storage area above it.

IF a match holder can be called classy, this is the one!
